HBFF21 Black Market
Black Filmmakers are the most underserved and marginalized group in the filmmaking industry. If we want to affect Diversity and foster massive inclusion in front of the camera, we need to make sure we have proper inclusion of Diversity behind the camera as well. If we want authentic stories on our cinema and television and a vibrant and diverse film industry, we must start creating, empowering, training and mentoring the next generation of Canadian Black Filmmakers! #HBFF21 brings you a Film & TV industry series where both locally and internationally renowned industry professionals, experts, thought leaders, visionaries and like-minded people, will share cutting-edge thinking and real-world experience on today’s most critical filmmaking issues. As part of our dynamic festival HBFF steps outside of the entertainment industry. Join us for community panel discussions to dissect important societal issues affecting our black communities. These discussions create capacity building in the communities, foster greater understanding, raise awareness and create opportunities for sharing and networking.
