BORN IN SIN

By Rennae Byfield

Motherhood is an honour and a beautiful gift. However, society often distinguishes between mothers who are deemed worthy or unworthy of the honour. Children born to "unworthy" mothers are stigmatized and, in turn, suffer marginalization. This documentary explores the experience of a young single mother through the perspective of her father, daughter, and a clinical social worker/ psychotherapist. As a community, they shed light on the struggles and victories of those often vilified. No matter the circumstances, no child should feel born in sin.
