COMIC ESCAPE

While playing dodge ball on his school playground, third grader, Bernard Winfrey is slightly injured and is sent to the nurse's office. There he finds a classmate's comic book, and becomes determined to buy his own copy. Once he has gained the money to buy the comic book, he becomes so enthralled with this new found superhero that he even dresses up like him for Halloween. However, when he arrives to school in costume, his classmates force him to face a harsh reality about the society around him. From then on, he is awakened to a new point of view in life and is changed forever.
